Early Season Fly Fishing Tactics
For those who have the spring itch to get out and fish, this is the perfect class for you! This class is the perfect primer for getting you ready for the following two months of awesome spring fishing that we have here in Utah. The weather is warmer on the average, the summer crowds have not yet descended, and the fish are just starting to awake from winter’s doldrums. In short, this is a great time to get out on the water and learn some new skills!

Class Purpose
The purpose of this class is to teach and show anyone that wants to learn how to fish during the transition between winter and spring, show you how to be a better early-season fly-fisher, and how to do so in a safe, fun, and effective manner. This means discussing what weather you should try to fish in, flies, leaders/tippets, safety concerns, etc. In short, this class should prepare you for your future outings on your own, and give the tools to have success during a time of the year where the fish can be tough to come by.

Class Information
This class consists of an evening here at the shop, and then a half-day trip out to the river for a hands on experience. On Friday, the class will run from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM. On Saturday, we'll be meeting on the Middle Provo River. Class will run from 8:30 AM-12:30 PM. This class has a maximum student capacity of 6 students, and sign-up is based on a first come, first serve basis. To reserve a spot, you must call or come in and make at least half-down deposit. You will need to provide your own gear and flies for the class, but if you need any rentals (rod/reel, waders, boots, etc.) we can provide you with those for a small fee. Get rid of the winter blues, and get out with us to experience Utah’s spring season!!!
